Eloise Meloni: (Violinist) 
Eloise MeloniA brilliant and extraordinary violinist, has performed as a soloist and chamber music performer. Eloise is the first violin and one of the founders of Symphony Quartet. 
In 1984, at the age of 10, Eloise Melonie was the first prize winner of the violin competition "Prize Alessandro Longo" in Rome, Italy, where she was awarded the "High Technical Virtuoso and Maturity Interpretation" Award. 
In 1994 Eloise Meloni was the winner of the International violin competition "Prize Sassari" in Italy. After this great achievement, Eloise started her international career. She has performed in England, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Austria, France, Cyprus, the Middle East, Canada and the United States. 
Eloise was born in Italy to a family of highly seasoned musicians. She earned a degree in Fine Arts from the Academy Santa Cecilia in  Rome, under a known violinist Professor Felix Ayo. Following that, she studied in Vienna with Concertmaster Vienna Philharmonic Maestro Rainer Kuchl, then traveled to Russia where she received her Master Degree of Fine Arts from Moscow State Conservatory P.I. Tchaikovsky, under the world famous violin professor Maya S. Glezarova. Important influences in her development as a violinist include Emanuel Hurwitz, Franco Gulli, Pavel Vernikov, Vadim Brodsky, and Sergey Ghirschenko. 
In 2003 Eloise became as Asst. Professor in International Violin Master Class in Portogruaro, Italy. In 2004 Eloise Meloni moved to the United States to continue her journey in music. 
Eloise Meloni has performed and recorded with famous conductors and soloists such as: Yo Yo Ma, Claudio Abbdo, Isaac Stern, Luciano Pavorotti, Loren Maazel, Riccardo Chailly, Mstislav Rostropovich and Vladimir Spivakov.

Mohannad Al Zahabi: (Cellist)Mohannad Al Zahabi 
Known as the "Cellist with Golden Fingers" throughout the musical community. He has performed both as a soloist and with a chamber orchestra. Mohannad Al Zahabi is also one of the founders of Symphony Quartet.
Mohannad was raised in Damascus, Syria, the son of a well known double bass player Ibrahim Al Zahabi. His extraordinary talent and love for the cello became apparent at a very early age. He won the National Young Music Competition in Damascus for three years in a row. Mohannad studied cello under Professors Pavel Kopin and Rasim Abdul Laev, and received a Fine Arts degree at the Damascus Music Institute.
In 1990 Mohannad won the first national scholarship from the Syrian Government to study cello anywhere in the world. He decided to attend the world famous Moscow State Conservatory, P.I. Tchaikovsky in Moscow, Russia. There he studied under Professor Igor I. Gavrish. In 1998 Mohannad earned his Master Degree of Fine Arts.
Mohannad has been performing with internationally known conductors and soloists such as Mstislav Rostropovich, Christopher Eschenbach, Pierre Boulez, David Robertson, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Cliff Colnot, Michael Gielen, Bill Eddins, Pinchas Zukerman and Daniel Barenboim. Mohannad is also a master of Arabian music, performing with such super star singers as Fairuz in the Middle East and North Afrrica and Yassuo N'Dour in his 2005 National fall tour in the USA. James Goelitz: (Guitar Instructor) 
James GoelitzFor the past 25 years, James Goelitz has been a working guitarist on Chicago's music scene. A chicago native, he began playing professionally in his late teen years in the versatile pop band, Jump Street. Since the seventies, he has performed in clubs and festivals throught the Midwest and East Coast as well as on live radio and television projects. He has worked with many jazz, blues, and R&B artists including Dave Doran (formerly of Bob Sieger's Silver Bullet Band), Marty Binder (Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy), ZZ Hill Jr., the Emjays, The Stay-Tuned-Orchestra and many more. He has opened up for such acts as the Edger Winter Group and former Jimi Hendrix drummer Buddy Miles.
 
Upon winning a performance scholarship at Chicago's Roosevelt University, Mr. Goelitz went on to earn his Bachelor of Music degree, studying under renowed guitarist Frank Dawson (the Chicago Jazz Ensemble, Marshall Vente's Project 9). Mr. Goelitz has enjoyed teaching in many area schools over the years, including theChicago Heights School District. He has been an instructor at Kagan & Gaines since 1995. His teaching interests include Jazz, Blues, Rock, and R&B, with an emphasis on Jazz and Blues improvisation and expression. Mr. Goelitz is a firm believer in supporting the student's need for musical expression and developing the students sense of self appreciation for their achievements.
 

 
Marcus Dunleavy: (Guitar Instructor)Marcus Dunleavy 

Marcus Dunleavy has performed as a solo and ensemble, classical and rock guitarist for the past fifteen years. He has been a featured artist at the Old Town School of Folk Music, Ganz Hall at Roosevelt University, The Chicago Cultural Center, and The Harold Washington Library, The Skokie center for the Performing Arts, The Choir Academy of Chicago, The Park District of Chicago, Moraine Valley Community College and Chicago SGI's Ikeda Auditorium.

While completing his Bachelor of Classical Guitar studies at Chicago College of the Performing Arts, he studied under local classical guitar master Paul Henry. He also attended the master classes of many of today’s leading figures of the guitar including Oscar Ghiglia, David Russell, Sharon Isbin, and William Kanengiser.

Mr. Dunleavy recently participated in the Cordoba Guitar Festival in Cordoba, Spain as an assistant to the legendary jazz fusion guitarist Larry Coryell. While there had the fortune to participate in master classes with guitar great Manual Barrueco and the composer Leo Brouwer.

While maintaining a full teaching schedule Marcus remains active as a performer and composer. He also continues his own studies and training on guitar and in music and, for the past three and a half years, has had the honor of refining his skill under the tutelage of Maestro Sergio Assad of the world renowned "Duo Assad".

 Carl KlepackiCarl Klepacki: (Woodwinds Instructor)
 Carl Klepacki holds music degrees from Triton College: A.A., The University of Illinois at Urbana: B.M., The University of Wisconsin Madison: M.M., and a Music K-12 teaching degree from Northeastern Illinois University. Mr. Klepacki has been teaching K-12 music and band in Chicago and suburban public and parochial schools for more than fifteen years. His teachers have included Richard Davis, Les Thimmig, Stephen Dembski, Stanley Davis, Joe Daley, Scott Wyatt, Ray Sasaki, Morgan Powell, Paul Zonn, Herbert Brun and Salvatore Martirano. He has attended seminars and master classes with Gunther Schuller, Thea Musgrave, Samuel Adler, Jamey Aebersold, John Cage and others.
 
Carl Klepacki is an accomplished saxophonist/multi-instrumentalist performer, music teacher, and composer/arranger. As a local professional musician since his early teens, he has performed and recorded as a soloist, as a member of top 40 bands, jazz and rock combos, big bands/dance bands, show bands and pit orchestras. He has performed for dignitaries, members of government and for celebrities. He's performed at the Chicago Cultural Center, Great America in Gurnee, The South Shore C.C., The Chicago Yacht Club, The Palmer House Hotel, The Marriott downtown as well as at many social events, concerts, festivals and on live radio.
  
 
 
 

 
Daniel Williams: (Clarinet/Saxophone Instructor) 
Daniel Williams
Daniel Williams received his Bachelor's of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music and his Master's of Music Degree at the University of Southern California. He has performed professionaly with the New Millenium Orchestra, Northbrook Symphony, Lincolnwood Chamber Symphony, Cleveland Chamber Symphony, the Akron Symphony and the Youngstown Symphony Orchestras, among others. In addition to performing, Daniel is an active teacher of clarinet and saxophone students in suburban Chicago. He has partecipated in the Music Academy of West, Chautauqua, Aspen, and Bowdoin Summer Music festivals. His teachers have included Yehuda Gilad, Linnea Nereim, Daniel Gilbert, Eli Eban, Franklin Cohen, Charlene Zimmerman, Monica Kaenzig and David Howard. Daniel was a recipient in the 2002 FeBland Scholarship Foundation Competition in Santa Barbara and has been a semi-finalist in auditions for the Pittsburgh Symphony and the Louisville Orchestras.
 
 
 
 

 
Rachel Allen: (Voice/Piano) 
Rachel Allen
Rachel Allen, soprano, comes to the Chicago area from California and has performed here as well as in Italy and the Napa Valley. Recognized for her ingénue roles, she is equally comfortable with comedic opera roles and sacred concert music, with a repettoire spanning works by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Puccini, and Britten. Ms. Allen earned her master’s degree in vocal performance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University. This is her third concert with the West Suburban Symphony.
  
 
 

 
Larry Leonard: (Trombone, Baritone Horn, Trumpet) 
Larry Leonard has over thirty years of private teaching experience, on trombone, baritone horn and trumpet. He attended Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University as a Music Education major, and has studied with Richard Schmidt, Maurice Golden, Wesley Hanson, Sigurd Swanson, Ardash Marderosian, Frank Crisafuli, Arnold Jacob, and Bill Porter.  Ensembles performed with include the Jazz Unlimited Orchestra, the American Wind Band, the Elmhurst Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Oak Park/River Forest, the University of Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Elmhurst Symphony.  Featured soloist with the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra and the Lake Shore Symphony in  performances of the Larssen Concertino for Trombone and Strings, and the Elmhurst Symphony on Tommy Dorsey's theme, "I'm Gettin' Sentimental Over You".
